Adrift Among The Days, 6/2005, 12x16, mixed media on canvas panel. The was conceived in two parts. I've been wanting to do a painting with a heart in a bottle, floating, for ages now. I livejournal friend drew it and was using it for his user icon. I asked if he didn't mind if I borrowed his idea. He didn't. I finally got around it doing it. His is still cooler though >:) The other part of the idea comes with the title: Adrift Among The Days. It's actually a line from a Smashing Pumpkins song (surprized? hahaha) titled, Muzzle. It's one of my favorite BC songs in the world. His lyrics will always floor me and very often, just by hearing them, I get whole painting ideas that pop in my mind. Just from one line.
